Hello. I have strayed from Photoshop recently now that I’ve been getting into way more fleshed out tools such as substance painter because it makes visualizing my final product really easy. As far as I know Photoshop’s built-in 3D tools are very limited. I have seen glimpses of people using some sort of a Photoshop environment with even a complex 3d mesh loaded in and complex materials being painted on. Does anyone know what tools these might be? Also would be great to know of anything that’s generally useful for Photoshop as a plug-in.
Thanks.
Well there’s zbrush and maya but they are not plugins, but they are helpful tools but they are also expensive
Well yeah that may be what he wants I was merely supplying some alternative options
Thanks, yeah that’s it! But yeah in helpful tools I mean stuff specifically for materials/texture design, not 3d modelling. Has anyone tried Quixel suite? Does it compete with substance painter?
Basiclly quixel suite come with 3 pack, NDO, DDO, 3DO,
-NDO= Create normal map (You can check the link of the art lapse of my signature, video 1)
-DDO= A PBR texturing tools, its like Substance painter that let you texture your assets in few channel (Albedo, rough, metalness)
-3DO= Assets that let you preview your PBR model in photoshop, (Check the link)
hope that help
Nice! That’s actually a pretty cool toolset, thanks.
