Parts of a mesh scale wrong when importing as skeletal mesh

Hello, I’m trying to import some car models made in blender 2.79 to unreal editor 4.18.
I’ll attach pictures to show the problem, the wheels that are set as objects under the main car body object get stretched when imported, this also happens on other car models I’ve made when importing. Also I can’t seem to find anything like this when I’m searching google for the answer.

Even when assigning an armature to the car and wheels it will import the same way. Is this a problem with the exporter from blender or the import in Unreal?
