Particle render distance?

Hey guys, not too sure what’s up with this i’ve never experienced the issue before. Small candle flame particle looks alright up close, however taking a step back it now looks like a square.

That seems to be a “mipmap” thing, Depending on distance the texture mipmaps will kick in. Inside the texture in UE4 you can set it to No mipmaps. So mipmaps kick in and too much emissive makes the sprite look like its fully lit if that makes sense.
If you do not wish to discard the mipmaps you can also change it through your material. For more information do a quick search on mipmaps in UE4 docs here: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Search/index.html?q=mipmap&x=0&y=0

Also there is a way to do LODs for your particle system.
