I am an Unreal Engine 4 beginner but I was able to solve most of the occuring problems with the help of uncle Google, this forum and a bit of logic.
But the following is something I cannot figure out for myself.
I attached an particle system to a pawn (a little submarine) which emits bubbles whenever its speed is >0
Everything works fine when playing within the editor but the exported (Windows) scene shows some strange behaviour. The particle systems does not work from the start. After a few seconds it kicks in and works properly … as if it needs a timeconsuming preload.
Attaching a premade particle system (which comes with the tutorials) exactly the same way works perfectly. Apparently, I am missing something very important.
