Hello everyone.
I’m not a regular on the forums but I’m taking the liberty of contacting the community today because I’m really up against a wall. So I’m hoping someone can help me get through it.
There you go, I’m making a little game on UE5, I’m at a stage which is to see how it behaves in a real situation. So I create an .APK package by following all the steps described on the UE site.
Everything is good, package OK! (that’s what he told me). I plug my smartphone into the PC, launch the installer application and boom: failure (see attached images for an example of error).
Maybe the communication between PC/Smartphone is bad, I try with my wife’s one: same thing.
Well I tried various package options, probably I made a mistake. Nothing changes.
A SHIPPING version package, etc…same result.
I test by directly copying the APK and other installation files (like the OBB) into the smartphone (disabling security of course). I launch the installation from the smartphone, it starts but ends in failure. Same thing with my wife’s one.
Again I test various packages by modifying an option here then an option there: Nothing.
impossible to install the game on a smartphone.
I’m looking at the compatibility of smartphones, and certainly they are a little old but seem in theory to be functional.
mine is a Huawei Y6 from 2019, the architecture is ARMv8, 4-core CPU, the graphics chip is powerVR Rogue GE8300 (which can be problematic)
my wife’s is a Samsung J5 from 2017, architecture is ARMv8, 8-core CPU, graphics chip is ARM Mali-T830
So I am asking here for anyone of good will who could help me.
Thanks in advance.
