Overhead games - best ways to deal with mipmaps and texture (un)sharpness?

I would have thought the same thing, but it doesn’t seem to always work well. Diffuse maps are mostly ok, but any other maps add too much noise.

I’m still seeing sharpen 7-10 as being the best outcome.

I’m wondering if I should be messing with the mip bias, but I don’t really have much experience using mip bias. Ideally, you’d probably want an ARPG to push the mip distance out further, but still allow something?
