So I’ve been trying to make orthographic camera work, and I’ve basically got it working but the last major issue I’m facing is that it doesn’t seem to work with position nodes in materials, it doesn’t update LandscapeGrassOutput node, nor the CameraPositionWS node. Are these known issues, or are there some workarounds to this?
You can pass vectors/scalars to materials from blueprint by using material parameter collections. I’ve done this before for light positions. I’ve seen others also write positions to render targets and sample them.
Assuming you can get the camera position from blueprint I assume this will work.
Unfortunately, this is likely only the beginning of the problems you’re going to run into with an ortho camera. Feature support for them isn’t great.
