We have exported asset from Maya 2017 to Unreal from same file. We are getting 3D rigged asset coming properly in standing mode, but when we export animation it is coming horizontally even after exporting as a Z up. To make animation stand correctly we have to switch on “Enable Root Motion” or “Root Lock” to make animation stand. Is this normal? would this effect the character animation. Any idea why this happening? Please check attached image for more understanding, Thanks.
