OnComponentBeginOverlap not working at all

Hey guys. I ran into a problem. I’ve set up a sensor on the bottom of a character’s feet to sense if it is overlapping the floor or pretty much anything else. All I have is a print to tell me when it is active but the overlay never actually triggers. Any reason why this doesn’t work? It works when another component of the same actor is overlapping but it doesn’t register anything outside of its own actor blueprint. Anyone know what the issue could be?

Not sure teh problem, but why not add a triggerVolume?.
Trigger volume is design for specifically that, & usually problem free. Not to mention you can control the size of the trigger.

I would create a BP & add the sensor & trigger volume as components. Then use trigger event to control the actions to be executed on contact.
