Occlusion Masking Query

Hello Everyone,

Apologies, I’m very new to Unreal Engine, I’ve mainly worked in touchdesigner before this and trying to figure out how to do the same things here.

I’m using a live webcam stream on a background plane, with characters animated in front of it, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with occluding parts of the characters to line up with objects in the camera stream (to give an augmented effect). I’d be placing transparent planes/cyllinders in my scene to correspond to those in the video, so I’d need to block out the parts of the characters as they move behind these.

I’ve followed this tutorial and it allows you to occlude objects between the camera and player. I want something similar, but instead occluding anything that moves between a cube/plane and the back plane with the camera texture on it.

Apologies if thats not super clear, happy to answer any questions about it, any help would be much appreciated.
