[NOT A BUG] Placing control point outside image places control point in image

As the title says… when you click the grey area around the image, the control point is placed at the border of the image.

It happens a lot when you have another window open on another screen, and you want to give focus back to RC.

In such a case, please give focus back to RC without placing a control point.

Edit: It’s even worse.

I now click the title bar of RC to focus RC. This works.

But it doesn’t focus the 2D image view where the actual image is shown.

I do have to click the 2D image area.

Why do I need focus on the 2D image area? Because I use the left / right cursor key to cycle through the images.

Without focus on 2D view area, this is not possible.

I can click “Control Points” in the upper menu to disable Control Point placing, but that is very time taking.

Hi alice,

Just use the right mouse button to activate a window. Takes some getting used to but I don’t even notice it anymore…

For the case you like shortcuts - I believe F3 is for toggling Control Point.

Hello Alice,

or you can hold the SPACE when clicking to 2D view with the Control points tool activated. Holding the space during any action will switch to camera tool and you can move the view without placing any  control point.

You can find more information in the application Help - Leran more - Control Points/Shortcuts.

Excellent tip Zuzana!

I wonder why I didn’t try that before since many programs use that…

Makes CPing much easier!
