No supported Archicad version has been found' - Help

Hello ,

Thank you for posting in the community and sorry to hear about the troubles.

Please make sure the Prerequisite UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe is installed correctly and can be located here:

C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Twinmotion202X.X\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us

Uninstall the Datasmith plugin for Archicad if any are present by removing any files found in the paths below and then checking in the Add & Remove programs from windows:

  • C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD 2X\Add-Ons\Import-Export\DatasmithARCHICAD2XExporter - (Folder)
  • C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD 2X USA - DatasmithUE4ArchiCAD.dll - (File)

Then look into the registry and remove any reference to the plugin:

  1. Open the Registry Editor (Search for Registry Editor in the Window search)
  2. Select the Edit > Find (Ctrl+F) and write down the name of the plugin: Unreal Datasmith Exporter for Archicad
  3. Select the associated Registry Key folder on the left and delete it.
  4. Search again for Unreal Datasmith Exporter for Archicad to ensure nothing else is found.
  5. Then make sure to deleteDatasmithUE4ArchiCAD.dll and DatasmithARCHICADXXExporter folder in the following locations
  6. C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD XX\Add-Ons\Import-Export\DatasmithARCHICADXXExporter - (Folder)
  7. C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD XX - DatasmithUE4ArchiCAD.dll - (File)
  8. You can then try to install the plugin again.

Installing the plugin with administrator rights and creating a log:

  1. Go to the Windows search bar and type CMD
  2. Right click and Open the Command Prompt app and click Run as Administrator
  3. Type CD\
  4. Press Enter
  5. Type the following: CD users\USERNAME\desktop (Replace USERNAME with your local user name)
  6. Press Enter
  7. Type: msiexec /i UnrealDatasmithArchicadExporter_5_0_3.msi /lvx* Install_Log_ArchicadDatasmith (Replace name to match msi you are trying to install)
  8. Press Enter
  9. Follow the install instruction and close the installer.
  10. A log file should have been created on the desktop
