I hope someone can help me about this. As I mentioned in the title I switched from 4.23 to 4.24 and have significant drop in FPS
I am working on some small scene in 4.23 version. It is exterior scene with dynamic lights (sky and sun) and “mesh distance field” turned on. Also I have LPV turned on in both versions.
Everything is okay, until I decided to try the same scene in 4.24 version. All parameters are exactly the same (because I just opened it and didn’t do anything new) but it works terrible…The FPS dropped in half.
One thing that I noticed in “GPU visualizer” is that “Shadow Depths” pass has 2 times more (ms) in 4.24 version and it is obviously slowing down the whole scene.
I am not sure if I did something wrong or for some reason UE 4.24 version calculates dynamic shadows worse than 4.23?
