I’m creating a first person horror game, and I have setup ai perception on an ai enemy. It currently will roam around and chase the player if it sees him.
My problem is that I want to allow the player to hide under tables. Currently, if I hide under a table, the enemy bot will still see me. I’m not sure how I can adjust his vertical sight so that he can’t see me if I am hiding under a table.
Does anyone have experience with something like this? I see the ability to adjust the FOV, but I’m not sure how to adjust his vertical vision. I really don’t even know how I can tell where he can and can’t see. It would be helpful if I could someone draw a cone of vision temporarily.
