Nanite Texture Detail Approach

Hey All - I’m wondering how people are thinking about adding details on textures in UE5, especially for large areas like ground and walls. I’ve always liked Vertex Painting for details, but Nanite doesn’t support. We could use or update materials for general stuff like dirt, but what about specific details (cracks in roads or details we want in certain places)? We could put decals everywhere but I think that will get expensive pretty quickly. How are others thinking about this?
