I’m having the same issue here on my 2011 MBP running El Cap. I’ve been getting this since the betas for 4.11 and haven’t seen it in prior versions. I am able to load a completely empty new project, but new projects from templates or previous projects crash with this stack trace.

Looking at this post my Mac no longer meets the minimum requirements since it doesn’t support OpenGL 4.1 That post didn’t link to the full table, here it is.
