Job description
Define the game’s vision and game design documents
Design and prototype core gameplay systems
Create and maintain internal design documentation, including feature specifications and implementation guides
Collaborate with the team to ensure the incorporation of systems into actual gameplay, and maintain overall balance between multiple gameplay systems
Design features that will increase user experience, engagement, and retention
Perform and analyze user testing, and recommend design solutions
Stay up to date on the state of the industry and the latest trends (including VR, AR, new game genres, and new game design methods)

Required Skills and Qualifications**
A minimum of five years of game industry experience, with two shipped console/PC titles
The ability to design and communicate gameplay systems to a team
The capability to work autonomously, independently, or in groups, when empowered with clear direction and trust
Demonstrated competence in defining and driving design processes in a group setting, including giving, receiving, and internalizing critical feedback, running creative meetings, and remaining open to new ideas and challenges

Desirable Skills and Qualifications**
Experience with Unreal Engine is preferred, but not necessary
Console/PC development experience
VR and/or AR experience as a creator or user
Experience with high-level programming languages, especially C++
Prior experience in a lead/management role

Benefits and Pay**
Pay is between 3,500-5,000 EUR net per month
Equity offered for the VR/AR division
The company is located close to France, Switzerland, the Black Forest, and the Alps for those who like to travel or do outdoor activities on weekends
Relocation and visa/immigration support will be provided by the company for the employee and their family
All office communications are in English
Three-month placements in IKA subsidiaries available if the candidate is interested, including office spaces in the USA (San Diego and Wilmington NC), Japan (Osaka), China (Shanghai and Guangzhou), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), India (Bangalore), Korea (Seoul), and Brazil (Campinas).
