this I believe is possible. You just create a clipping box selection. Enable lasso tool. Create a selection. Scale or move the clipping box further, by going into SCENE Clipping box dropdown menu Edit clipping box and adding a selection by holding CTRL and selecting (you can as well use shift to deselect some area).
