Mouse being pressed isn't detected after unpause, but the release is

I’m having this weird bug where after I unpause the game, the input for any mouse button that is pressed isn’t detected after being pressed once, but the release is. The mouse isn’t used anywhere else in the project except the player controller. I am using the [Quality Game Settings by Henrick Goldsack][1], but I can’t see why that would be causing any mouse pressed to not work after the game is unpaused.
