Anyone have a link to a good tutorial video or step-by-step white paper on how to skin and rig a custom character model and an UE imported skeletal mesh in Maya LT 2016?
I have found ample links on how to create a skeletal mesh but not how to use an existing skeletal mesh in Maya LT. I have a number of purchased animations which are based on the UE skeleton and don’t want to run the risk of rendering them useless with a custom skeletal mesh.
Pretty new to this as well, interested to hear if any pros have advice about this. I’ve mostly been retargeting animations in addition to creating custom animations for custom skeletal meshes.
