Maya 2015 to Unreal 4.14 Export Lighting issue

I’m having an issue where the lighting is messed up when importing a custom 3d asset I created in maya. The geometry is very simple. I used only the extrusion and edge loop tool.
Is there an easy fix?

That looks like smoothing groups or normals.

I’m not an expert though. Make sure when you export the FBX you have smoothing groups checked. When you import in to UE4 make sure you’re importing normals( and tangents ).

Total guess on my part though. I’m not an artist.
