Matinee animation blending


I want to make an animation in 3ds max using the animation library for a character I have. I can import the character into Unreal Engine 4 and all the animations work perfectly well. The problem is that I need to blend a couple of animations seamlessly and then export them from the matinee editor as a fbx. Is there a way to do so?

as far as I know, almost all games ( in most motion captured games ) use only 1 animation file (which has to be big ) for cutscene which are used on a 3d model/animation program (maya , 3ds max…) to see how it will look and also using the map they are in so it matches the animation and atmosphere in the engine
So you gotta combine all your animations that you want for the cutscene in a 3d model/animation program
