Some time ago I bought aerial photos of High Tatra (professional ones from a Geo company).
And now I am trying to make a DEM from that. Is it possible to make it with CR ?
This is what I get with default settings (blank areas for summits; for flat areas in bigger distance it is much better). Perhaps you have idea how to fix it ?
sure it’s possible in the Ortho Projection tool in Reconstruction tab. Once you create ortho projection, you can click on the altitude to see the DSM model. If you wish to see a DTM, that is not possible in RC so far.
If you have holes in your point cloud after the alignment it means you might need to change your default settings for alignment. However the quality of alignment depends on many factors such as image overlap, flight height over ground, image angle, RC settings, image texture, time of the day during the flight, weather, sun, shadow, snow etc.
I’m not sure if the screenshot you sent is showing the sparse point cloud from image alignment or it’s a reconstruction model already ? You have to send more screenshots with whole RC window showing the aligned images in 3D view, alignment settings, components with texturing and report rolled down. You can also use inspect tool to check the camera alignment and send the screenshot.
