I’m trying to make embers of a fire particle swirl when he/she walks past or through the fire (and maybe even the flames).
I took a look at global vector field and even Nvidia turbulence to achieve this effect, but I don’t really know what the best solution would be.
1 - Nvidia Turbulence: I have to integrate Turbulence to the Unreal project and I don’t think this will be a good idea since it’s quite heavy etc.
2 - Vector field: I was thinking of attaching a global vector field to the character that interacts with the gpu particles, but I don’t really know what direction the vectors need to point to always have a nice effect (I have the feeling that the vector field needs to be different when walking forwar, backwards, left and right).
So any tips or guidance or thoughts are welcome
