I am still fairly new to UE5 and have been playing around with various animations for my character. After reading up on the root motion options I have everything in my ABP set to use root motion. This has also been true for montages in the character blueprint. However, with a sword jump attack the AM kills all momentum of the previous jump movement. I then tried not using root motion but get the “snap back” despite the jump momentum finishing correctly.
Am I missing something basic/easy here? I’m not sure what combination of settings I need to keep the jump’s natural momentum and also end without snap-back to the capsule/root.
