As a newbie to Unreal Engine, I’m curious about the possibility of live motion capture with the engine? By that I don’t necessarily mean real-time motion capture thats recorded for your game or movie project to be used later. I mean something that while the game is running in Unreal, the software tracks and real-time renders an actor’s movements live?
For example, say I’m working on a project in which I want to make an interactive 3D character that a guest can talk to. I want to have an actor behind the scenes that’s doing the facial mocap and body mocap of the 3D character, and want the motions to tracked live in the simulation itself. Is that possible with Unreal, and if so, with what tech?
