LineTraceByChannel not working Why is line trace not hitting my pawn?

So basically, Ive made an AI, and wanted to determine if my player was looking at his face, I used the Linetracebychannel method for this, and made collision ignore for the capsule component.
but my trace is not hitting my ai

If you want bones, you will need to trace against the mesh, not against the capsule. Both ignore visibility traces by default. The rest looks fine at a glance.

In short:

  • choose Visibility or Camera channel for tracing (or ideally create your own)
  • ensure the capsule ignores it
  • ensure the mesh blocks it

Hey, thanks for the answer, it worked out, I disabled ignore self, and adjusted the collision now it is working!
