Hello,
First, sorry for my ignorance on the matter.
I’ve encountered an issue with lightmass. It doesn’t appear to be replicating realistic light bounces in my environment.
The light bounces just die off too quickly and doesn’t cover the wall from where the light is coming, it receives just a really small amount of light.
I’m not sure where the issue is. My lightmass settings are default. I’ve played around the indirect bounce light intensity, that does fix the inside, but it makes everything outside seem washed out.
I’ve also used spot lights like in the realistic rendering demo, but that didn’t work as well as I expected. Values above 5 in the directional light just cause the outside to be washed out and doesn’t seem to change much inside. I also tweaked the bounce amount to ~100, but that didn’t work either. Eye adaptation does help out, but relying just on it is not what I’m looking for.
I’d be appreciated if someone could help me out, maybe link to some similar problem solutions. I’m sure that it’s a rookie issue, just can’t understand what it is.
The scene at the moment is build out of brush meshes for mapping out dimensions. The distance from the windows to the wall is ~20 meters.
