Level up difficulty using code in GameMode, ThirdPersonCharacter, or Actor Blueprints

I am having trouble getting a game I am working on to progress to a new level when a particular score is reached. I have a Widget Blueprint in place that correctly displays items in level, items collected and items required. I have tried a number of blueprint combinations and find that 1 of 2 things happen. 1 - The items are collected and correctly counted but the get new level and open level by name nodes do not activate. – OR 2 - They both activate as soon as the first item is collected. I also tried using a Compare Integer, with the same result.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
