landscape warning: pre-shadow and bcastdynamicshadow


i got a problem which i don´t understand after reading the documentation:

  • i builded an landscape, which has exactly the recommended size in the documentation
  • i builded the landscape
  • i run an lighting build : everything is fine
  • i sculpt a little bit on the landscape
  • i run another lighting build… and receive this warnig:
    “ue4 landscape_0 large actor receives a pre-shadow and will cause an extreme performance hit unless bcastdynamicshadow is set to false”

here is my question:

where can i adjust the lighting to get this problem/warning solved
and what are the best lighting setings for my landscape (performance)?
