Landscape deform - Project


as many people … I also want to deform the landscape (Mud, Explosions and so on) … I was trying to use “render to target” to displace the actually landscape … and read out the values (such as we do for water) to get the actually height. My Problem is that the “render to target” had a max resolution (2048x2048) for good performance which is to low to get a good displacement over the complete landscape … at least for tire tracks/deform (mud).

I uploaded also the project so that you can checkout what I mean…
Is there a way to make a grid of render targets (instances maybe by landscape components) and then read out the specific textures/render target in the material?
