Jaggy shadows with directional light

Hi all,

I’m having a problem with the quality of shadows cast by a directional light. I’ve placed a box brush down here:

The edge of the shadow closest to the camera is jaggy and all over the place. However, if I place a point light in the level and remove the directional light:

The shadow on the left edge is still slightly jagged, though the overall quality seems much higher.

Does anyone know howto make the jags go away?

Thanks for reading!
Callum,

There’s some settings in the light, but the jagged edges can’t go away completely. Part of it is going to depend on the angle of the light to the angle of an edge, just like with anti-aliasing where if there’s only a slight angle difference it has trouble making it look straight.
