It helped to a degree, but not entirely. It was primed in flat grey, and yes, I drew some features on it to help, as well as spattered some different colours on another version.
Here’s a link to a previous scan, that came out fantastic. This is a much lager specimen, with thicker wings, so it’s probably correct that it’s due to the mean error value, and how thin the wing is.
