I know there are constant improvements and awesome stuff is possible, but whenever me and my team talk about an Android game Unity seems to be the more stable solution for mobile platforms. Is Unreal ready for actual streamlined Android development or is it still in “preview” mode?
UE4 is really beefy even for Android. If you are targeting high-end devices it is fine. Downsides are if you want to make a free game with IAP for example where you want a very large number and wide variety of users (read: have older devices), it’s not the best and I would recommend Unity over it.
It’s not ready in my opinion - creating one hi-end game and one with unlit planes like tappy chicken.
You’ll need an engine programmer to be able to fully create android game.
