I made character and i intend to use it in UI viewport (so max 1 at screen, ~40k poly), for “hero customisation” (changing face/hair/armors/…)
I tried this retopology because i want to keep face detailed, but is this a way to go? i used zremesher, should i do manual retopo?
well this was horrible idea, solution was to use zbrush polypaint. (fixing that would take couple hours, thanks no)
First option absolutely not. second one you have too much geometry.
Retopology for characters should always be manual as certain loops are required for proper animation.
Agree.Go manual and if you have the time,take a look at topogun for the job.
