Is there a way to gradually change a Pawns mesh (and keep it that way)

I want to have it so each value change it slowly changes shape. Not just on size but like single vertices causing a change in shape permanently over time.

for an example a ball, if you give a ball x points it it slowly develops a point or it slowly turns square is that possible?
