So recently i’v been thinking about making a pokemon type rpg/monster fighting/collecting game with ue4 but I was wondering if I can do this with blueprint only or would something like this be only possible with c++ scripting?
It’s definitely possible.
It all depends on how complex your trying to make your game.
A turn based game like Pokemon? Extremely possible in just BP.
A reason those games ran so well on the gameboy was the battle being turn based gives the CPU lots of extra time.
Ya it will be turn based but Idk how well BP will do with pokemon management inventory wise.
One thing that you may find helpful while working on this game are data tables in order to keep track of the massive amount of stats a typical pokemon game stores.
You can make just about any type of game with only Blueprints.
