I’m looking to build a plug-in for Unreal Engine for my own personal use. I’m currently studying DirectX 12 programming and what I’d like to do is use Unreal Engine to load a Vertex Buffer and an Index Buffer. So instead of using loading a mesh the traditional way, by using an FBX importer, I’d like to do it this this way.
The reason being, is that the mesh(s) I am working with are going to be reduced to buffer data for some pre-processing before being uploaded into the engine.
As a side note, I am fairly new to DirectX 12 programming.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
