is it legal to copy other game’s level design?

Just to be clear, did you buy the game below from the Marketplace? (NOT the Epic Games Store!)

If you did, you can do WHATEVER you want.

If you did not:

  1. As long as you aren’t redoing large parts of the game you are TOTALLY fine. A level/stage or two is no big deal.
  2. If you are redoing large parts or the entire game, you NEED to give credit (“This game was inspired by ‘x’”, or, “If you liked this game, check out products by ‘x’”)

Keep in mind that if “2)” applies to you, you can technically be sued. But it is VERY unlikely, as long as you don’t recreate the entire game (or large parts of it), and sell it.

Also, amazing work. Seriously. I’ll stick to programming, because art is not my thing.
