iOS virtual joysticks not tracking fully

I am trying out the example side scroller template and deploying to the iPhone 4s. When the demo is running in the full editor and the thumbstick is moved all the way in either direction, the character runs at full speed but when I do the same on the iPhone it only registers as if I am pushing the thumbsticks half way. It’s not a framerate issue as the guys animation stops at the fast walk cycle.

This problem exists on everything I make using the thumbsticks. Is there something I need to do in the blueprint to change what values the thumbsticks send to the character movement?
