I don’t know how to cut a skeletal mesh by pieces so im asking this.May be someone explain how i will cut and assign it again ?
You can make multilayered clothing, where you don’t need to cut any characters into pieces. Just create an actor/character etc. and give him a main skeletal mesh component for the naked body, then create additional skeletal mesh components for every clothing slot you need (hair, clothing top, clothing bottom, underwear, shoes, accessoires…), but put them under the main skeletal mesh component. If you want to change clothes ingame you need to create some menu and just set the corresponding skeletal meshes (with help of some variables or an array) and the master pose component for your clothing slots and you’ll have a nice clothing system.
