I want to modify the engine source code to have more skeletal mesh material slots

I want to modify the source code of the engine to have more material slots in skeletal mesh, I have been with this problem for a month without knowing how to solve it, I want to find out what limits the material slots. In static mesh you can have more than 255 and I found that code but not the skeletal mesh one. I appreciate your help.
