I just find this very odd. Lightmap density in the red with very small objects ...

They are static objects.

No collision.

Texture is 128X128

One texture sample and one Normal map in the material which is Instanced.

No tiling of the UVies.

Min LM res is 64 and LM res is also 64.

They are not scaled in UE4.

Built in Blender like everything else.

I just don’t get why they show up as red? Is that “normal”?

O.k. I figured it out.
I knocked down the LM res all the way to 12.
Now they show up as green.
Wow so I guess with very tiny objects make sure you bring that LM res down

The viewmode takes object scale into account based on some default parameters you can change, so the Lightmap resolution and layout are seen as too high at 64x for that object scale. That’s it. And the opposite for the blue sections.

Great thank you very much. Had no idea. Now I know
