I am new to Developing with UE4 and i have a few legal questions

Hey Guys,
I have an idea for a demo for a VR game and I have collected certain Royalty free items from a few websites only a few items I get the rest of the resources from the Market store on Epic Games. But if I do use Royalty free items what is the legal stuff behind it I have a few downloaded and I’ve got Links and descriptions of what is provided in the download for me to use in a word Document but when the time comes to testing it and sharing with the public with Steam or Hostin g a download link from my own website what will be required from me to be able to share the game and not take credit for what I didn’t do and got from a royalty free source. What type of legal docs.etc would have to be filled out.
Regards,

For anything you use, you need to look for something from the author that describes what you are allowed to do with it, if there is nothing to be found then you need to try to contact the creator to get permission, if you can’t find contact info or you don’t get a response then you would be better off not using the item.

For the UE4 marketplace items, you’re allowed to use it just fine just can’t redistribute the items by themselves.

What if the Item was there for a Direct Download from this site

You always would need to look for something telling you what kind of permission you have with the asset.
Just a note, there’s places where people upload 3D models but they don’t necessarily own the 3D model, like they might have ripped it from a video game and uploaded it which means it would be illegal for you to use it. So with any models you download you need to make sure you have legal permission to use it in the way you want to.
