Hi there! I would like to know how to (or if it’s even possible) to sculpt an imported height map to do a few manual changes, and then reapply the materials configured on the layers? To match the new manually updated height map?
So to give an example, I have a heightmap built on a separate tool (not sure is allowed to tell the name of the tool here), from that tool I also exported specific layers based on that map slopes.
Now I want to edit some parts of that heightmap in UE5 using sculpting but still use the Landscape Layer configurations based on the previously exported heighmap layers to recompute the materials based on the slopes height that got set on the other tool.
So If I do hard sculpting on the heightmap it will change the material of that spot from grass (let’s say) to rock, because the height on that spot got very high and I had configured on the heightmap layer files that above X meters would be rock.
Does this make any sense to you?
Is it even possible to achieve an workflow like this?
Thank you so much in advance!
