How to prevent mesh from receiving shadows

Hi, I’m developing a mobile action game with UE4.
I think UE4 is really cool and I had no issue with developing.
However, thesedays I got a big issue and that is about “modulated shadow”.
I want some meshes not to receive shadows and to do that, from what I gather, there’s no other way but to use “Unlit” material. But when playing a famous game called “Hit”, you can clearly see meshes don’t receive shadows with ‘Lit’ material.
Can you figure out just how could they make it? Is there anything I’m missing? If so, let me know. please~
