How to physically animate a lizard's tail in unreal

Dear unreal engine community,

I am trying to make a lizard’s tail move with the rest of the body but in a physical simulated way i.e it moves with the momentum of the lizard as it lags on the ground, and when the lizard turns its direction, the tail follows it but also in a physical simulated way by bending in some parts before it stretches back again and follows the lizard again.

The lizard is a skeletal mesh and the tail is part of the same skeleton i.e its not a different skeleton like most tutorials i see of ponytail or hair animations i see on youtube.

What would be the best approach to do that? i haven’t found a lot of tutorials for that? Can the new control rig plugin have any nodes for phyiscally moving a tail ? please any help would be great. Thanks
