How to make DistanceToNearestSurface work on ES 3.1?

Hey guys I’m trying to make this node (DistanceToNearestSurface) work on a material.
The output log tell isn’t supported - > LogMaterial: Display: (Node DistanceToNearestSurface) Node not supported in feature level ES3_1. SM5 required

Is there a way to enable SM5 on Mobile??? I need this feature at any cost, thanks guys!

Hi,
I would be also very very interested if there is a way to use this node/function on android/mobile?

Would appreciate if someone even knows a workaround to make this kind of functionality possible on Android/mobile.
