how to make blueprint object update tick event in sequencer

Old man and Newbie here (vfx artist background). i setup a simple windmill blueprint object which has a variable speed. on update tick event, it rotates fan object in windmill.
when i hit play in level (scene) all windmills works nicely.
but when i hit play in sequencer (intention of rendering later on) all windmills are still. how to tell sequencer to play / update based on blueprint tick event.
any ideas / suggestions? thanks in advance, regards,haseeb
