In my project I am trying to create a very bright scene and have spots or torches that create a dark lighting. Basically reversing the way normal light works. Instead of having light illuminate darkness in dark scenes I am trying to have light or whatever works create dark spots in a bright scene.
I have tried negative lighting but that doesnt work with the newer versions of Unreal Engine. Lights wont accept negative values anymore.
Post process effects do not really work since you enter the volume and see everything outside as if it was dark. One of the mecanics is to repel brightness with darkness. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. I am sure someone has a cool answer.
